Prior to entering the unscripted space as a story producer, Ruth worked in New York City as a news writer after earning a masters degree from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She has also produced two children, Harper and Grey, who have been picked up for multiple seasons and have won several awards, including Student of The Month.
